Crowns In addition to veneers and bonding, we offer porcelain crowns which are a covering for the entire surface of the tooth. Crowns are ideal for reinforcing teeth that have either cracked or are in danger of cracking, while masking imperfections in shape and color. Crowns are made to match the shape, size, and color or your teeth giving you a natural, long-lasting beautiful smile.
A crown procedure usually requires two appointments. We first take highly accurate impressions to create your custom crown. While the tooth is numb, the dentist will remove any decay and shape the tooth to fit the new crown. He then applies a temporary crown while your final crown is being manufactured. Then, at a second appointment your new crown is placed to ensure the spacing and bite are accurate. |
